Okay, I Know What You Are Thinking: These Cars Are Not Only Used, But Abused

Category: Finance.

Buying a used car can be like a crap shoot, a real hit or miss proposition. Why go into the used car market unequipped?

I don t know about you, but the thought of plunking down five thousand dollars for a car and hoping that it will give you several years of driving satisfaction is downright frightening. The following tips can ease your concerns and help you walk away from the deal a real winner. Private Seller. Dealer v. If you purchase a car through a reputable dealer, they should offer to you some type of warranty even if it is only a 30 day warranty on select components. Therefore, consider buying directly from a seller who really knows his car.

However, when buying through a dealer, you ll pay a premium for that privilege as the price will likely be hundreds of dollars above the Kelley blue book price. Run a Repair Report. There isn t a 100% guarantee that they have all of the information about the car, but you can reduce the chances of purchasing a lemon by running a vehicle history report on the car. To avoid buying a lemon, pay the fee to get a repair report on the car from a company like CARFAX. Take It to a Mechanic. If the seller objects, simply walk away as the car likely has some hidden problem that will become revealed once your mechanic examines the car. If you find a vehicle that you really like, take the car to a trusted mechanic for an independent opinion.

Consider A Program Car. Okay, I know what you are thinking: these cars are not only used, but abused. Cars driven by Hertz, and other rental, Avis companies are often sold to the public through retail outlets operated by these companies. Well, the car rental companies know about these fears and only offer for sale those cars that are in excellent shape. This translates into a very good quality used car for you at a competitive price. Furthermore, their maintenance schedules are impeccable and typically go much further than what the manufacturer recommends.

Low miles too: most are sold with less than 30, 000 miles on the odometer, sometimes much less. If you suspect the origin of any car simply walk away from that sale. One caution: watch out for Katrina cars, vehicles that were declared totaled after the hurricane struck the gulf region but were salvaged, repaired and sold in another state after the title was washed.

Firstly, You Have To, However Decide If You Even Need A Cash Advance

Category: Finance.

Firstly, you have to, however decide if you even need a cash advance. Cash advance is the term used to refer the terminology in which the cash is paid in advance against a line of credit it may include credit cards or any other financial agreement.

Contrary to what some people may think, there are often far more sensible choices that are available when it comes time to pick which finance option you wish to use. It can be an individual or an institution or a bank here the borrower will pay back the sum with the rate of interest. The rate of interest levied on such transactions are some what higher then the normal rate of interest, it has not got any specific grace period in this the interest can be charged on the full term of the loan. In this cash advance the only drawback is that the rate of interest always stays higher. This makes the fast cash advance which is one of the most expensive debt financing techniques. Many credit card companies include in this procedure as well as many banks are involved in this process.

To obtain fast cash advance is very simple but to understand the procedure and rates attached with it makes it difficult. They will provide the cash advance according to the credit limit of the individuals. The most important thing involved in this is the rate of interest which should be properly known to the borrower. The interest rates attached on these transactions is very high as compared to the other debts, the final print should be thoroughly read and understand as there is lot of difficulties involved in this procedure. There are many institutions which are involved in cash advances but they involves the credit check and sometimes they are not so fast in checking which results in turn around to have approval and credit facilities, in this case the capabilities of the institutions should be properly checked for both security and professionalism before engaging with these institutions in any financial contract. For example if you urgently require to buy the house and at the same time you have got an insurance policy completing the term after short period of time so you can take the cash advance and pay back with the interest when the policy will mature. Fast cash advances are the most used techniques in the situations where there are insufficient funds available but in a short period of time there is a possibility that you will get it.

The consequences of not paying the cash advance in time are very bad as they may affect your credit rating and can affect your mental stability at a time and can make you sleepless. The cash advance if not paid on time will hit hard to your creditworthiness rating. So I would suggest the repayment of cash advance will be on high priority and should be paid on time. As sometimes the fees associated with the cash advance will become much higher then the advances itself and can create a financial loss. So that you will always remain on a safer side. So the cash advance should be on time with the full rate of interest to be paid.

Just Like In Error# 2, Be Sure To Check The Company First

Category: Finance.

Carl Mahoney owns a ladies' perfume shop. His store made good business.

At the start of his business, he used his garage and converted it into a makeshift store where customers can drop by and purchase items using cash, credit cards or personal checks. Soon rented a decent space from a mall for his unique brand of perfume. From one outlet, Carl got additional three outlets. Then he expanded his store space. Later, a friend advised him to put up an online shop for his business. Hardly has his site been uploaded in the Internet when he got swamped with offers for his payment processing requirements. He did.

Being a busy man, he didn' t spend time scrutinizing each of the company but instead settled the very first one. His business record books showed he was losing money fast with the processing system that he chose. Soon, he had to pay a bewildering array of exorbitant fees to this company. It bit a sizable chunk into his profits. And when he did, it was too late. It took time before he realized such mistake. He already lost to it a considerable amount of revenues.

Be vigilant and watch out for these five most common mistakes merchants make when choosing for an echeck processing system: )MERCHANTS USUALLY TAKE THE FIRST ECHECK PROCESSING COMPANY THAT COMES THEIR WAY. Learn from Carl's bitter lesson. From a financial point of view, only lazy people make this blatant mistake. To remedy this, take time to examine and scrutinize each echeck processing company that vie for your attention. It's nonsense, too, and very costly. Look for a company that had been long in the business. )MERCHANTS DECIDE ON ATTRACTIVENESS OF THE ECHECK PROCESSING COMPANY BROCHURE. They will mislead you into thinking that they operate a legitimate company by the attractiveness of their accompanying brochure when in reality, they are nothing but a bogus.

This is where deceptive individuals come in. Only a careful background check will reveal the sad sorry state of their company. It's a bait to lure unsuspecting merchants like you. Never fall for full- colored, glossy brochure. Go for a company with a proven track record. )MERCHANTS CHOOSE AN ECHECK PROCESSING COMPANY WITH COLORFUL, WELL- DESIGNED HOMEPAGE. Remember that, for a little fee, one can hire a good webmaster to design an excellent, corporate- looking website.

Similar to mistake# 2, only this time, it's not about the paper brochure but the homepage of the echeck processing company. Don' t fall for this one. Search your government's listing of legitimate companies and do some double- checking, if possible. Just like in error# 2, be sure to check the company first. Select a company with stable resources. )MERCHANTS CHOOSE AN ECHECK PROCESSING COMPANY ENDORSED TO THEM. When the topic centers on echeck processing service, one or two attendees will drop hints about a particular company.

Let's say a merchant attends a business forum. The poor merchant will take that as gospel truth and then subscribes to its service. Only a careful scrutiny will tell. Of course, this particular company may or may not be a good one. But why take unnecessary take risks? More so if the salespeople happen to be sexy, attractive and very persuasive ladies. As we have said in# 1, choose a company with a proven track record. )MERCHANTS FALL FOR SMOOTH- TALKING ECHECK PROCESSING SALES PEOPLE.

The sales talk will be too convincing you will be blown away with the salespeople's purported facts and figures. They assure you with empty promises. Usually they talk glibly. If you get into their bait, you will end up the loser. Remember, it's your hard- earned money at stake here. So be vigilant and don' t fall for this lousy mistake.

Volkswagen Loan

It always pays to do a little research.

Over a decade ago, as I was struggling to make some important decision( these things don' t come easy to me, I break my, I struggle head, I get sick etc. ) a friend of mine told me" You don' t have enough information. This is equally true in all aspects of one's life, to personal and, from schools professional relationships, let alone making, to holidays big purchases. Find out more about each of your options, than it will be much easier to decide what you want and to know which option is really best. " This advice served me well over the years. This bit of conventional wisdom almost backfired when last time used. Although I cannot claim that I' ve carried it around tenderly in my bosom, but every time I got really and thoroughly stuck, I' d eventually remember it and act upon it. I needed a car. My budget was around ten thousand.

Or not. Or twenty five. The more information I' ve acquired, the more muddled it all seemed. I had no idea what car I wanted, and whether comfort, which maker, mileage for gas, color of the, speed car, or safely was my priority. To make the long story short, I' ve eventually settled for Volkswagen. Do I want financing from the dealer or not?

The vicious cycle began anew. If yes, how much was I willing( which was not the same as how much it would be comfortable for me financially) to give as a down payment? If so, which bank? Should I take a car loan from the bank? The salesman at the dealership was awfully helpful, and made at least a dozen of honest attempts to simplify the matter by offering me to sign a contract and to let them take care of the rest. Due to the complete depletion of mental and emotional resources, I choose to be difficult, haughtily explained that I still need a word with my non- existent financial adviser, and headed for, walked out the bank.

Although I was initially told that the typical annual percentage rate for a Volkswagen car loan is 3, after factoring in the actual amounts, including the car price, and the desired, taxes term of repayment, the quoted APR, needless to say was substantially higher. I needed a Volkswagen loan. The other option still open was settling for a cheaper car, but after hours and hours of research, my very being rebelled at such a thought. After visiting two banks, it finally dawned on me that walking just might not be the fastest way to do the research, and that I might have better luck online. Volkswagen loan! -became my personal battle- cry of the day, Volkswagen loan! The interest rate the dealership was offering turned out to be not the most expensive option, yet the term of repayment remained a trifle stiff for my liking. 15000 car loan, taken out for a seven year term was available at the following interests rates.

Much faster than originally expected, I had my options lined up for me. Good old Abbey wanted 9% (read 2302 per month) , Eskimo Loans, and Bank of, Halifax Scotland conspired to accommodate my needs at a mere 9% (read 2220 per month) , Northern Rock's offer at 2% came across as actually generous. I' ve ended up accepting a loan quote offered through an on- line broker, when I walked, and thankfully back into Volkswagen dealership a few days later, it was a different, but more courteous, slightly less friendly salesman who' ve handled the paperwork and gave me the keys. Volkswagen loan! Next time I plan to buy a car? While I do not intend to get a mechanic's license in any foreseeable future, thanks to shopping around for vehicles and prices, I will have a better idea exactly what should I get, and for how, where much. Certainly, not for some time.
